Here's my definition: passive magic is the action of charging an object or symbol with ritual intent so that it acts as a center of attraction. We therefore act passively to attract energies to us. Unlike active magic (which involves intentional, symbolic choreography and a lot of energy that builds up during ritual work, to be released into the Ether), passive magic consists of gentle work that acts subtly; a quiet force, as some call it.
